Hello my bunnies,
Today I want to talk to you about the blusher that I haven't stopped wearing ever since I bought it.
It's the blush from the collection Happy Girls Are Pretty by Essence. It took me about two seconds to cave and buy it.
But when you see it, it's not hard to understand why. First off, the design is really pretty and I really like its muted pink tones.
What's more is that I don't regret this impulse buy, at all.
I find that this type of pink tones looks particularly good on my skin now that it's gotten really pale again and it makes me look very healthy, naturally, without making me look like a doll (in-the-way-too-obvisou-pink-cheeks kind of way.)
The other good thing about this blush is that it's slightly (slightly !) shimmery which makes it all the more flattering.
Below you can see, on the left, both colours together, in the centre, the light colour and on the right, the inner darker shade.
As the shimmer only runs through the lighter colour, you can choose to apply it or not. Most of the time, I will apply both colours together (see picture below) but sometimes I take a little more time and apply the dark colour on the apple of the cheeks and the light colour on top of the cheekbone like I would a highlighter.
The longevity isn't the greatest but it's among the good ones and for the price, you can't really complain.
All in all, I really love this blusher because it's the perfect shade, in my opinion, to make pale skin look more healthy (and with the summer sun gone, that's what awaits all of us ;)) without looking ridiculous or overdone. As if you'd just been frolicking out
in the snow in the cold.
As it's a limited edition, I'd strongly suggest running to your nearest Essence counter and picking one up before it's too late.
An honourable mention goes to the Real Techniques 300 brush because it's a great one to apply blush more precisely. Thank you so much to Laura from Cosmetics Obsession for the amazing giveaway she did !
Have you fallen for this blush ? What's your go-to blush atm ?
