Scents That Take Me Back

Today I want to talk to you about products that bring back memories because of their scent.

I guess you know what I'm referring to, when a scent is associated to a particular time, place or event, and sends you back as soon as you smell it.

I'm going to talk to you about 3 products that remind me of good times.

Reficis Efferv'essence Purifying Cleansing Gel*

This cleanser smells just like some orange sweets I used to eat when I was a kid. The hard ones with the sour powder in the middle, in the transparent wrapping with red polka dots. Every time I use it I'm sent right back in childhood, eating too many sweets with my friends.

But apart from being a good reminder of my childhood, it is a fantastic cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling clean, purified and soft and it's not stripping at all. I'm also glad to report that it seems to be helping with my imperfections. Since I've added it to my La Roche Posay routine (you can read about it here) my skin has kept on improving.
What's more is that it's made from natural ingredients and not tested on animals.

Is it for you ? Yes, if you're looking for a natural cleanser that will deeply cleanse your skin without drying it.
You can find it on the brand's website, here.

Percy&Reed Volumising no oil oil

I got that product with a Cosmopolitan during one of our trip to England. So I've used it during our holiday week in Devon and not a lot since. When I found it in my drawers a few weeks back and started using it again, it sent me right back in our little cottage in Devon. Amazing !

I really like to use that product because I like the scent (and it stays all day) but also because I find that it works well. I use it on towel dry hair and blow dry my hair with my head down and I find that it gives me more volume without weighing my hair down.

Is it for you ? Yes, if you're looking for a product that will give you more volume without weighing your hair down.
You can find it on Asos and Feelunique (among other places.)

A.N.J.I Revival Remineralizing Shampoo*

That shampoo smells just like the soap that I used to use at my grandma's. If you imagine the scent of a bar of soap, this is what it smells like. It smells fresh, clean and just like my childhood.

This is the shampoo that succeeded to my Toni&Guy Advanced Detox that I talked about here. I find that it leaves my hair feeling incredibly clean, light and very soft. I use it about once a week to get rid off product build-up. I like to use the A.N.J.I leave-in treatment that I talked about here, afterwards to treat my super clean hair.
The only thing to know about this shampoo is that, because it's made of natural ingredients, it doesn't lather up as much as your usual shampoo but this doesn't affect its efficiency at all.

Is it for you ? Yes, if you're looking for a really good, natural, purifying shampoo.
You can find it on the brand's website, here.

So that's it for this emotional selection, what do you think ?

What are the products that bring back good memories for you ?
